As a lifelong storyteller, I craft visions and stories and bring them to life, on time and on budget with exceptional attention to detail. I’ve been able to marry my passions for film and for people-watching through the visual language of costume design.

I’ve been a fashion influencer for 20+ years thorugh feature films, television, and commercials. From The OC to the Chipettes, I’ve designed costumes that people identify with and want to wear. My in-depth character-driven approach, strong design skills, and knowledge of fashion have led me to create many indelible characters, breathing life into gritty back alley denizens, lovable teenagers, the halls of power, and monsters of the week alike. As costume designer for over 30 films and multiple television shows, I am known for rom-coms, thrillers, high end nighttime soaps, and beloved children’s classics.

I styled the bands Spinal Tap and the Folksmen for a decade, designing their stage wear and outfits for all public appearances. My music video work ranges from heavy metal—Metallica and others—to hip hop, working with Dre and Snoop. My commercial clients include Taco Bell, Lexus, and Cheezits. And I’ve written and lectured about the art of costume design.

I’m known for my ability to listen, to guide, and to translate the creative vision of directors and writers into a coherent visual language. As a costume designer, I’m a creative director, a project manager, an internal communications specialist, and an content strategist all rolled into one. I’m a quick study, adept at seeing the big picture without losing sight of the important details. Collaboration, deep research, and the ability to think on my feet and not lose my sense of humor are all hallmarks of my process.

I got my start in NY independent film, then moved to Hollywood. Now I’m lucky enough to divide my time between California and the Pacific Northwest, but am always ready to travel where needed.
